Description
Giving children in Africa the best start in life...
Matthew Cardwell Primary School was built and completed in 2005. The school includes kitchen facilities, a water pump and toilet block. As pupils progress through the school, the number of children attending have also increased with over 300 children. Some of the younger children are still limited to having their lessons in the old school which is simply a wooden shack. A team from Antrim High Street Presbyterian church have pledged to raise funds to build a nursery near the new school build that will provide much better facilities for the children of grades 1-3 to learn. It will also help prevent overcrowding at the school and give each child the best chance of a good start in their educational life.
