Bangor Grammar takes on Coorom Challenge!

Bangor Grammar School have taken on the challenge of raising funds to build a new school for the pupils of Coorom Tekwii Primary, northern Uganda. As future benefactors of a new school themselves it is fitting that they are going to support the education of these children in Uganda.

Mosquito Appeal

This year we aim to protect several communities in Uganda, by distributing mosquito nets to several villages around our schools and providing malaria treatment services. With your help we can save the lives of hundreds of babies, children and adults. At each distribution site we will also be providing free medical information about several life saving issues. We need your help to save as many lives as possible so please help us prevent more children from becoming just another malaria statistic.

Run for Abaana

There are 32 million street kids in Africa - It’s hard to imagine when we sit with a cup of coffee and watch our favourite or as we go to our warms beds, what life is like for the child as they lie in a cardboard box under a shop veranda.

In 2011 we want you to “Run”, to help us raise funds to give some of these children a new life. In fact, you don't even need to run - you could jog, walk, hop, skip, whatever floats your boat! We want to have over 100 people taking part to raise over £30,000.

Abaana out in force at the 2009 Belfast Marathon

On the 4th May 2009, around 16,000 people pounded the streets of Belfast to take part in the Deep Riverock Belfast Marathon. Over 30 of them were running/walking to raise vital funds for Abaana's projects in Uganda, including building schools and street reach programs. Even Bugs Bunny turned up to support Abaana!

Janneke, aged 6, swaps sweets for clean water!

The New Life Spring Ball

The New Life Spring ball was a huge success with around 150 people enjoying the night, and over £4000 raised towards building Lweeza Primary in Uganda.

Gulu Sponsorship
