Since 2001, Abaana have been taking teams to Uganda where they meet with and work alongside our partners at Abaana Ministries Uganda. So far, around 650 people of all ages and backgrounds have taken the opportunity to travel with us and engage in the different areas of our work.
From fundraising to building schools, meeting the sponsored children and working alongside our staff team, there is something for everyone to get involved in.

Why go on a team? Let’s ask the team members…
“Abaana are able to rescue street kids from a life on the streets and place them in the New Life Homes where they are loved and cared for by Abaana staff. We spent a lot of time getting to know the boys in New Life Homes. These boys have a roof over their head, food, education, but most importantly they are given regular bible teaching. It is clear to see that their lives have been transformed from the moment they were taken into the home… sponsorship has completely changed his life!”
Amy Shepherd, Hub Team 2017 team member
“Our time in Uganda was life changing in so many ways and so encouraging to see God at work in Uganda through the work of Abaana. It will be an experience and that provides memories we will cherish for years to come.”
Mark Smith, 2017 Team Leader
