Well we have been home for two days now. Where did the time go. I can't believe I have been to Uganda for the summer. What an experience it was.
The one thing that is going to stick with me is meeting the street children. I remember pulling up to the place that they could come to and thinking this is going to be tough, trying to relate to them. It was tough at first but then when we started talking to them they opened up to us. There was one kid, I can't remember what his name but one day when he collecting metal to sell to be able to make some money. He was collecting it by a railway track, when he had an fit, when he came through he was on the railway track and seen a train coming towards him. He tried to get of the track but the train hit him and it took of his leg. This kid is a very strong kid and could be really angry because of this but he was always smiling and talking. When we where leaving the place, all the kids came up to us and to say goodbye, when doing this they also said may God Bless you all. This was a shck to me because even though they live on the streets they still give God thanks.
The memories I have of Africa will stay with me for a lifetime.
God really opened up my eyes this summer and He taught me alot and how blessed we are to have a warm bed and a family to come home to.
So when you are praying and thinking about you life, think about the children and adults in Uganda. Thank you.
