Throw a Birthday Party for Abaana
There's only so many smellies, chocolate, and novelty gifts that any one person needs in this lifetime. How about doing something different for your birthday this year?
Throw a birthday party as a fundraiser towards a project of you choice in Africa. Ask your guests not to buy you a present but to make a donation instead.
The idea couldn't be simpler. You could have the party in your own house, or if you're planning to invite loads of people, perhaps you could use a church hall or local community centre. We can provide you with Abaana literature and DVD's and even gift aid envelopes (personalised with your name & birthday) for your guests to put their "present" in.
To make things even more fun perhaps you could have an African themed party, with African food, music and decorations!
There are numerous projects in Africa that could benefit from your birthday this year, from raising money towards our homes for street kids in Kampala, to buying bricks and mortar for a new school.
